Strategic Planning

Have your next Strategic Plan facilitated by someone who both genuinely loves logic models and is perfectly willing to sing karaoke sober. Strategy work fuels my desire for meaningful collaboration and making an impact. I work closely with clients to develop a strategic planning process based around the following principals:

  • Include diverse stakeholders

    • I look for ways to include input from everyone your work impacts. Using a person-centered program design model I help organizations see both the assets and needs in their community. Using participatory structures I help capture the wisdom of the group to shape the future of your work.

  • Define a purpose

    • I will help you navigate ambiguity and complexity to figure out why exactly you are doing what you do. Together we will find meaning and insight that can be turned into vision and a reason to act. I will routinely remind you that you shouldn’t do busy work that doesn’t serve your purpose.

  • Focus on action

    • Planning is great but I don’t want your strategic plan to be a set of unread documents forgotten in your shared drive. I will find action items and develop realistic steps to get things done. We will uncover metrics and outcomes that are both inspiring and achievable.

  • Build your capacity

    • I want to design a plan that you can use and leave you with the tools to accomplish your vision. Through out the strategic planning process I will share approaches and resources that increase your team’s ability to be effective and responsive creative problem solvers.

  • Have serious fun

    • We are going to do great work and, along the way, we’ll have fun together. We can be equally playful and productive, imaginative and focused. I want to tackle your complex challenges with humility and a sense of humor.

Does my approach seem like a good fit for you?
